Invicta first came about in 1912, when it was set up as a manufacturing arm to enhance the capability of the United Yeast Company.  In 1925, one of the employees, Peter Jones, bought the business and it became incorporated as the Invicta Sheet Metal Company Ltd in Leeds; concentrating on manufacturing equipment for the baking industry.

Our history

Invicta was proud to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2012. We look forward to the next 100 years of business with the customer as our primary focus.

In the years that followed, the company migrated further north and today we are based in purpose-built premises in Pickering on the edge of the picturesque North York Moors.

Although the baking market remains one of our key sectors, we also serve the wider catering and food preparation industries. In 2014, Invicta launched its sister company Food Industry Supplies to specialise in the design, manufacture and supply of plastic products. The plastic range perfectly complements our traditional metalware production and often the two are brought together in the same product, particularly when producing bespoke items.
